What did you think of the stories Nature, Self Reliance, and The Snowstorm by Ralph Waldo Emerson? Did you think they were easy reading, or were they difficult to understand in the beginning? Please explain.

After reading where is hear I got a sense of disappointment from the story. While nothing out of the ordinary happens until the end of the story. Did you while reading get the most suspense while waiting for something to happen that never does?

After finishing most of the dark romantic literature we have just been reading, compare it to the light romantics. Now obviously there are a lot of differences between these two types of literature. But tell me what you thought about it, which did you like better? Who was your favorite writer? If you could would you rather write a gothic or a light romantic story? Explain…

What did you all think of the story “Where is Here?” by Joyce Carol Oates. Since Mr. Dutrow was absent for a few days due to the retreat he was not able to describe the story to us, so it was really up to us to read and understand the story. I know for me the first time that I read the story I did not understand it. Then I read it again and I started to like it. I personally liked the fact that in such a simple theme the writer could make me feel interested in the story. Express your thoughts…
