This piece of literature was well written. I do not believe many people discussed the slave narrative because when engaging in conversation about the idea of racism and discrimination. This is why people did not participate in the discussion during class. I also belive the description of the environment/conditions aboard the ship was a little too much information for people in class to relate to.
