At first it struck me as boring, but i think every play starts off boring because it hasn't reached the full climax yet. But the more i was reading into it, the more i felt like reading it. It is starting to grow on me. The plot is getting more interesting which helps me read it more instead of thinking that it is boring. The play so far is an overall good play and i enjoy reading now that we have read someways into it,

I think this story has gone quite well. It has been intresting because of all the witchcraft that has gone on. The only hard part is that I find reading pretty boreing and sitting in the classroom reading in class is kind of hard making me lose focus much faster. Dispite of all this hard work it does pay off because we go over every thing before the quizes which helps a good amount. I have found that plays are much harded to understand and go with because you are only seeing what each person said and not being able to see what they are really thinking inside their head.

I think the story from the beginning seemed to be quite dull. Personally I am very picky with what I read, but now the story is getting better with its plot. Overall so far the story is good, and I look forward to continue reading the story.

At the beginning of the story I thought that this book had potential to be one I would recognize as a very well written play. Mr. Dutrow always had talked about how spineless of a person Rev. Parris was. He is the character I am most excited to hear speak. I like his character because of how unpredictable he is and I like to pick apart his motives. I also see a growing tension in the book also which makes me more excited to read more.

I think that this play has been somewhat exciting and fun to read so far. I also think that it will get even better as we progress into Act II. My thoughts about McCarthyism is that the girls in this book practiced it a lot claiming that people are witches when they really are not.

When we first started reading it, i thought it was really boring. I am not that into witch stories. That's why I don't like Harry Potter that much. But as we continue to read on, I find the play to be getting better and more fun to read. I like how they are having problems trying to figure out what happened.

This story is very good so far. I don't agree with the things the towns people do. I feel like there are many ignorant people in this story. Condeming someone as a witch because they cannot remeber the ten commandment is a bad way to do it. The town seems to have no proof other than some phsyco nut job saying that they are. Hanging people seems to be hypocritical of the Puritan beleifs as well. The only reason people confess to being a witch is because they are afraid to die. It is still a fun read and i'm looking forward to reading more.

My thoughts on the Crucible thus far have been that the whole situation with everyone blaming each other that they are witches is a little bit obnoxious. These people are so obsessed with getting rid of the devil in Salem that they will go to any means to get rid of him even if that means convicting innocent people to death. I have strong feeling on Abigail because she is smart and can manipulate people for her own personal benefit.

So far I think that the Crucible is an ok book. It is a little boring, but it is fun to see the entire story of the witch trials and how they played out. It would be more fun to see the movie, because then you can get a physical picture of it all, but the book isn’t too bad. It is getting better as the play goes on, and I can’t wait to see what happens to the rest of the people that get tried.

The Crucible is a well-written piece. It is exciting and ironic, using a lot of literary devices. It is a good subject that a lot of people seem to be interested in and that makes it a good piece.

truthfully i think its very boring point blank. Reading about someone being accused of being a witch is dumb

Even during the somewhat boring beginning of the story, The Crucible's intense and gripping storyline immediately caught my intention. Although the plot is a bit exaggerated, I'm very interested in what the final outcome will be. In my opinion, Abigail Williams is the best and most interesting character in the story. Her way of both manipulating and charming people is truly amazing. Her character seems to be very powerful and dark. Overall, The Crucible is a great story thus far, and I look forward to reading the rest of it.

Along with most of my classmates,I too thought the beginning of the story was very boring, and the dialect was hard to follow. Towards the middle of act 1 it started to become more interesting with all the accusations and arguing. I truly can't wait for the rest of the trials to take place and see what ends up happening to all of the accused and especially John Proctor.

I really find this book hard and difficult to comprehend, with challenging phrases, I hope it will get better as we move along.

I think that the crucible is boring so far. I think that it will get better because we are getting into the scenes were all the action is about to occur. I am looking forward to seeing what happens to the characters, especially john proctor and his wife.

I feel that is is very ironic that the the church is the one and poeple that were with the church are the ones being called witches. This story shows the bad side of all humans and the way we all want to find someone that is a witch. They are all out to find witches and nothing else matters to them.

michaelrovnan said...

I believe that Abigail was an evil little child and was lying to hide the truth of what really happened. This tie into Mcharytism by the fact they searched for the witch and wouldn’t stop till the found the witches or people that they believed to be witches.

I am very suprized in the reason the play was written. I think it's very interesting that with out even mentioning McCarthyism the author relates the whole play to it. This relates to McCarthyism because in both instances innocent people were being accused of things and turning in other innocent people to free themselves.

At first in the play I was kind of lost and didn’t understand what was going on and why they were doing all of these trial to see if you were a witch or not. So I really wasn’t in to it at the time. But, now as we get farther toward the end I’m and starting to like it more because you want to know what will happen next and makes you want to keep reading. A character that I strongly feel that is just trying to save him self from being in a lot of trouble is John Proctor because he hate hypocrites when he is a hypocrite him self. But also some characters in the play such as Rebecca nurse who is a wise, sensible, and upright woman held in tremendous regard by most of the Salem community and she was put on trial. I just think that is brain-dead on the judges parts because I don’t know how she could ever related to a victim on the witch trials. But enough said there, it relates to McCarthyism because innocent people are getting accused for stuff they didn’t even do.

The crucible is a very suspenseful book that is easy to get into. Its setting in a small town that is secluded from huge occurences and by big gaps between the houses. John Proctor is a very important and interesting character in the Crucible. It was very easy for me to be caught up in all the suspense and drama that has meshed itself into the play.

i think that as its starts off it vis real hard to get ahold off because its not very exciting. But throughout the story it gets better as in more exciting. Also the reading in class makes it easier to read but the story overall has been overall boring.

The story is going well so far but I don't agree with what the people have done. The girls are playing the blame game and the church is believing them. The girls have scared everyone into the thought of witchcraft that there killing everyone to stop it. It connects to McCarthyism by the fact that the same thing happened in America. The people were scared that the communist would take over, so they started to believe anything that made sense at the time.

I am writing this post after we have finished the story, but overall i thought that The Crucible was a fun, and good play to read. Even though I read one line throughout the entire thing. The characters i felt strong about was John Proctor. The reason is because he knew what he did to his wife was wrong, and felt very bad about it.

When i was first reading it it was considered to me boring. To me the more it gets into the witch craft it gets more interesting and the climax you can tell is going to build up and make me want to read it more and more

I think the Crucible thus far is pretty good. I also think it is interesting because its about Salem and how it started. Learning about Witches is pretty fun to learn about and its interesting to learn as well. In the begining it was kinda boring but as it went on it started to get really good. I like the characters, such as John Proctor because hes not afraid of anyone, and he is the boss.

The beginnig of the play was one for the history books! How many times have you seen Puritan girls running in the woods and dancing? Not too often in American literature. I like the play so far, I think it could use some work but other than that it is good so far.

Earlier on I didn't like the book the crucible. It was too slow getting in to things and no action. At that point I thought Mrs. Putnam was a weird person. the setting is the late 1600's purtains times. Both McCarthyism and the The Crucible have being accused for things they had not done.

Quite truthfully I think that the crucible is boring and therefore, don't feel strongly about any of the charaters. I think the time and setting of the play contribute to this factor of bordom. It is very simular to McCarthyism in the fact that both were times when innocent people were falsly accused.

The begining of the story did not really excite me too much. I did not really find it that interesting. I think i am more drawn to abigail and how she is turing out in the story.

At first i thought that the story was going to be a dull and not a whole lot of things was going to happen, but as the play went on, those feelings slowly changed as more arguments arose. The character that I mostly want to hear is revered Parris because of what people had said about him. The other character that i hope to feel stronger about is John Hale. So im with JP. I agree with Andy Hynes because plays are hard to understand so i hope that we have a good review before we take quizzes and tests on it.

The Crucible is very weird thus far. It has a very strange plot and the accusations of the girls seems highly unbelivable. It is kind of boring but it seems like things are heading into the right direction.

So far i like the book because this tells a story of a very interesting moment in american history. I do see the connection between Mcarthyism and the Witch hunt because it is taking innocent people of of society and persecuting them.

The first time we started to read The Crucible i thought it was going to be very boring, but the farther we got into the book it started to get better and not as boring. The connection between Mccarthism is very similar in a way that Mccarthy was trying to find communists, Salem is trying to find witches.
