Overall, these three pieces were not too hard to read, more less hard to comprehend. I think the main reason I couldn't quie understand them were because of how the author's used different wording. Some points were made obvious but the lengthier meanings and analogies were tough to understand the real meanings.

These stories were very meaningful but were very hard to understand. I had to read the stories a couple of times to really get a deeper meaning of the story. These stories, when you understand it, can help you throughout your life and to help others.

The stories by Emerson were not extremely tough to read. They were just kind of long and long stories make me lose my mind. I am not good at focusing at all. But it was not really hard to read overall I kind of liked these stories alittle bit.

I think the stories were deep but hard to understand. I tried to re-read them but I still couldn't pull out the exact meaning of them until we discussed them in class. The fact that they contain so much symbolism makes it hard to try to figure out what the author is talking about sometimes.

I believe that all 3 stories were difficult to follow. Further more I believe that was a reason why I did not do so well on the quizes for them. No matter if we were reading them in class or not, I still could not quite understand half of the sayings in the stories.

These three pieces were overall hard to understand due to the vocabulary. They are very well written and meaningful. Some of the analogies used took some thought to understand, but once you got it they had strong meaning and thought behind it.

I ended up really liking all 3 of the stories by Emerson. I thought they were all really well written and had a lot of great messages that could be pulled from them. However, I don’t think I would have gotten all of these messages if it wasn’t for Mr. Dutrow explaining it to us. So if I had to say, I would say that they were a little difficult to understand, but once you understand it then it is easy.

The three stories by Ralph Waldo Emerson were very hard to read because of the hard vocabulary in them. So you had to read it a couple time to finally understand it. In the beginning of the stories they did not make any sense but once you read further on you started to understand what they were about. But overall I thought these three stories were very boring and dull and I like the Dark romantic stories a lot better because they were more mysterious.

These stories were very deep, and abstract making them hard to read and comprehend. On top of that some of them were long stories making it even harder. After finding out the meanings of the stories i think thhat they are very meaningful.

I thought they were okay. Not to hard to read and but were a little hard to understand. I had to go back and read what I just read to better comprehend it. But over all the poems were okay.

i thought they were extremely difficult to read. I really did not understand them until we discussed it in class. What makes it difficult to read is because it is not how things would be written or even said today.

The writers of these poems of the time have a great amount of symbolism that every person can have their own thought on what it means. This is the reason I didnt like them also I'm not a fan of poems anyway.

After reading the stories “Nature”, “Self Reliance”, and “The Snowstorm” I was left confused. Even though the three wear short easy reads, they wear hard to understand. I could not figure out the purpose of the stories and they left me unprepared for the quiz. Overall I did not like them.

I think that the three stories were easy to read and got the message across easily.

I have read alot worse, but this definatley wasn't one of the easier ones. I often found myself reading the same sentence about three to four times in an attempt to fully comprehend the statement.

Personally, I felt that each of Emerson's stories were extremely hard to comprehend. The vocabulary and analogies that he used were far too difficult for me to understand. Countless times, I would find myself completely lost in the middle of a sentence or paragraph. Overall, I found attempting to comprehend these stories to be frustrating and annoying. I enjoyed the dark romantics far more and hope to not be assigned such difficult reading in the future.

The Emerson pieces were hard to read and comprend for one reason. He used language that is obsolete in this day of age. We are use to shorthaning everything but back then they drew their sentences out in a long flowing manner.

It was a nice line of stories that shows the joys of life, it was a book that you definitely have to read a few times over again to let it sink in completely. The he used a lot of words that only a person with a colorful vocabulary could understand completely. And that didn’t make the quizzes any easier to do good on.

I think that the pieces were kind of hard to understand because they used words that i have never heard of before, that i had to look up before i could understand the meaning; but i found that the poems/ stories were great reads.

i though that all taught something to help you find out things about your life. i thought nature was the hardest to understand because of some the analogies that were used. In the beggining they were hard to comprehend because i just could understand the writing style and the way the words were used.

These stories were very easy to read because it just talked about how great nature is and how great life is. The individual is also a very big part of these stories. The stories say that the individual needs to break from the herd and do whatever their really good at.

I thought that Nature was a vivid description of how great it is to be out alone in the fresh air and wildlife. Also, it leaned towards enjoying nature by just calmly watching nature do its thing, and not forcing anything on it. Self Reliance was good because it taught one to rely on his own and not on someone else. The Snowstorm caught my attention when you let nature blanket itself on the ground and you discovery a magnificent masterpiece.

Emerson's poems of "Nature", "Self-Reliance", and "Snowstorm", all in my opinion were very difficult to comprehend. I liked Emerson's story "Self-Reliance" the most of all the poems because of the meaning and moral of the poem. I found myself reading this poem over and over because everytime I did I understood a little more.

They were actually very easy reads suprisingly to me i enjoyed reading them and i am honestly not thrilled when i have to. They were easy because they were straight forward with what they were trying to show the symbolism of trancedentalism.

I enjoyed read all three of these stories all though walden was quite extensive. These pieces of liturature were not hard to disect and comprenhend in my mind because of the simple message that the author tried to display. I all of these stories i strongly agreed with the authors opinions and ideas.

I think that the two stories were an easy read. Dark romantics like The Devil and Tom Walker are usally the stories that are harder to read. These were light romantics the did a goo job being simple.

These stories were easy to read. I thought his stories were perfect for explaining nature. He, Emerson, told the reader his view point on nature and made it very clear for us to read. His wording at times were confusing but if you looked at it for a couple of minutes, you can see what he means.

These stories were not very hard to read but they were very long and I kept on loosing the point of the stories. I had to re- read them to understand what was going on
