I think that it was a good movie based on a great book. The video quality looked like it was a home video with some good actors. The story behind the crappy movie makes it worth while. It brings to life the Captain's insanity while chasing Moby Dick and the cost of following such people.

I agree the movie was an ok movie and that I looked like it was a home video with bad CGI. The moral was expressed alright, the morel of the movie was that you shouldn’t try to have a war with nature otherwise everything around you will be destroyed.

I liked the Moby Dick movie because it taught us a lesson you cant judge an animal for fighting back because its just its nature to fight back when someone is trying to fight against them. The moral of this story is dont judge an animal by its size haha.

I liked the movie, even though it was bad quality. I think that they expressed the moral really good, that you should not keep pursuing something that is not worth fighting for. That you should not get revenge on something just because it is his nature to do something.

I thought the movie was allright, although the attacks by Moby Dick, etc, could have been a little better, regarding the realism. The moral of the story is to leave nature alone, and not disrupt it because it will always win.

I thought that the movie was well done in the acting part, but Moby Dick looked so fake. Besides that though I thought it explained the moral of the story very good.

I really liked the movie Moby Dick. I like how the movie shows the struggle that the captain has when he is about to head home, but yet his vengeance makes him march forward. I like how the whale both meets eye to eye with the captain, and then destroys the boat afterwards. The movie showed that the moral is nature is all mighty and can destroy anything in an instant.

Moby Dick to me was great I enjoyed this movie. I believe that the moral of this story is one, revenge could lead to your own destruction, and two no matter how great you think you are there is always someone better than you.

I liked the movie Moby Dick, I thought it was well made and the wale looks real unlike other monster movies. I don’t think the moral of the story was expressed very well though. The people on the ship just seemed to be trying to kill the wale for no reason. I know the moral of the story though. It is that we should not get caught up on revenge of something that is just doing what nature calls it to do.

I thought the movie was ok. It wasn't great because it was made for tv. It's CGI wsn''t great. From what I saw though the acting seem preety decent. The actors who played Captian Ahab, and Starbuck played them preety well. It captured Captain Ahab insanity preety well. The scene with Captain Ahab looking into Moby Dick's eye was a preety powerful scene showing that he was just an animal.

I think the story is trying to tell us that we had to deal with our own problem without pulling others into it. You should also let go of the old and thinks that are eating away at you and move on.

I think the movie of Moby Dick was kinda boring at times, and the picture was not very good it really did seem like it was made as a home video and they did care enough to take the time to make it better. The actors were not bad in the movie, there were a couple well known actors as well as none anyone has ever seen before.

I think the movie was good even though it wasn't the best quality. The moral was expressed through the video so the point was still made.

I thought the true sides to the whole story was expressed rather well; whether it was about the crewman, the captain, or the white whale. The moral is that nature is going to be nature, and it can easily overcome the likes of man. It has ruled over us the entire time we have lived on this world and it will not lose its advantage any time soon.

I thought that the movie reflected the book very well, but it seemed kind of cheap. I think that the moral of the story was expressed quite well because it showed the whale at the end looking harmless, and the captain seeing this while he is dying. I think that the moral means that you shouldn’t be mad a nature if it does something to you because its just being itself.

In my opinion the quality of the movie does not make a difference because it is a great book. The moral of not going after something that is not worth the time or your life is expressed very clearly. Mainly because the whales instinct is to attack if it is being attacked. The whale kills all of the fishermen in a short amount of time, and this shows that it was not worth getting revenge.

I thought the movie was very good in showing how one man's greed and wanting revenge at a whale can drive a person crazy to kill everybody on his ship. Besides one man Ishmael, the one with the least amount of experience. Even though the quality was not that good you still could understand the main point of the story is that don’t let your emotion get the best of you in just trying to take down a whale so you kill the rest of your crew. Also the whale cannot even think and it is just its natural instincts to fight back.

The movie was not very good quality. The acting was great and i was very interested especially after i recognized some actors. It really brought captain ahab's greed to life.

The few scenes we saw in class of the movie Moby Dick, were very exciting and suspensful. The part I liked most was the dangerous ocean environment with Captain Ahab avenging over a whale. The moral of Moby Dick means that you must respect nature amd not interfere with it, and nature will respect you.

I wouldn't say that the movie was poor, but it was definitely not something that I would willingly watch again. However, I strongly believe that the moral of the story makes the movie worth watching at least one. The moral of the story is clearly that obsession can lead you down painful and dark roads. Therefore, obsession is not a good thing and should be avoided at all costs. The move brings to life the insanity of the Captain and the vicious Moby Dick!

I think that the movie was not the best quality, but portrayed the characters as well as the story. The moral of the story was very well done. When he looked into the whales eyes, he did see that it was simply a creature of the deep that doesn’t have a grudge, any type of anger towards him. He unfortunately realizes that when it is to late. The moral to me was that nature does what nature does. Life is full of ups and downs that we must all deal with. Plus you can’t play with fire and be mad that you got burned.

i wish we had got to see more of the movie. In all i think the movie told its moral correctly. Dont let superstion and material goods take over your life.

I liked the movie a lot for one reason. It had the second best Star Trek captain of all time in the movie. I think the movie portrayed the moral of the story very well when Ahab was staring into the eyes of Moby Dick. I think the moral of the story is it's ok to be passionate about something but when it's the driving force in your life then you have a problem.

I enjoyed the movie Moby Dick because it gave me a visual aide to the story that we read. I think the moral of the story was well expressed in the movie because it showed that even when the mean were weary about their orders Ahab still pushed them because of his obsession. I think that the moral of this story is that if you become obsessed with something and let it control your life, it affects not only your life but also other people’s lives.

Moby's Dick was an ok movie. The whole trying to kill this giant whale all for oneself is kinda ridiculous, and trying to do it with a crew that is trying to tell you your crazy should of told him that. From the beginning all the sailors were telling the captin that it was stupid and they were going to die but he insisted in going forward. The moral was expressed great but it was a bad moral to have.

i enjoyed watching the movie and i think that the moral of the story was expressed, because it showed how the obsession of one person can affect so many people and in this story the effect was everyone dieing. i also liked the movie then the story because i can learn allot better if i hear something and when i read i usually get side tracked rather quickly.

I think it was a good movie, or at least the scene we saw was good. The moral is pretty much don't get obsessed with something or that obsession will overcome you.

I thought the scene we watched from the movie it did show alot of morals which people should not have.

I think both the story and the movie of Moby Dick were significant in portraying the moral. The story definitely went into more detail then the movie, but I felt the emotions and felt the pain being portrayed more in the movie. The scene in the movie that showed me the passion of the Captain would be the scene where he stabs Moby Dick and doesn't let go, even after being pulled underneath the water. This showed the Captains obsession.

I really thought of it to show alot of intensity on how bad they wanted to get moby dick the one whale and the addiction to get him was. Also it showed how insane the captain was when he was trying to catch this whale.

bmore10123 said...

Truthfully I think that moby dick was a fairly boring story and the movie made it no better. I think the moral, which was you should never be overly obssessed with anything, was well displayed. Also, a moral was to not put anyone else in danger because of your wants. This was displayed by everyone dying.

The moral of the story was shown in the movie perfect because it had shown Ahabs obsession in catching this single whale and risking everyones lives who were onboard his ship. His crew never should have lost as many people as they did. Ahab made the worst decision and only thought for himself.
