The court in the time of the Salem Wich trials was so single-minded and only thought of themselves, for some odd reason they couldn't come to the fact that the girls or the "witches" were making false accussations. Even when they said they saw the bird in the rafters of the court room, and no one else did, although the judges did not make note of the bird, they still believed the girls without questioning.
