I thought that it was great! It was more time that I could use giving more time on the short answers. I also liked the idea of having more ttime a home to think about the essay rather than try to cram it in with the rest of the period.

I think it was fine it gave us more time for the test and gave us some time at home to think about what we were going to write about the essay.

andI think that the take home essay was great. It allowed time to sit down and consentrate on the topic. We were giving the chance to take our time instead of being timed so it was really great.

I thought that the take home was a good idea. It is easier for me when I am not rushed I always work better with extended time. I think it helped me a lot and I hope we get another one.

I agree with JP. It is easier to work when you have more time. It gave me time to really think about my answer and will help me get a better grade.

I think this is a very good idea for the people who take longer on the tests they take. The downside of a take home essay is the standards are much higher because we have to have everything right and spelling and grammar counts.

I thought it was a good idea. It gave us more time to work on it and we had our books to help. The only problem I have with it, is that i really couldn't see how they relate to each other.

I thought the take home essay was a great idea. It really helped out a lot with the extra time given, to write more in depth.

I like idea of the essay for the test. It helped me further realize the difference between realism and Romanticism. I never really took notice of their differences before. We also had much time to think about what we wanted to right about because we had a whole weekend. Plus I didn't do so well on the test so the essay is always good for a few extra points.

I thought it was a great idea too. letting us take home and write an essay with our notes and stuff was really helpful. I hope we can do that again. I like that better than just writing one in class.

I thought the idea of the take home test was great! It gave me a lot more time to think about my short answers, and it also gave me more time to write a better essay. Sometimes on the test you have to rush to get your essay done, and then it doesn’t turn out the way you want it.

I think that it is a good idea for there will be fewer errors in our papers. But, he will grade it harder for he will be looking for exact topic and examples and just not the verge ideas we all like using in other essays.

The take home essay was a good idea because it gave time to think about what you wanted to say. It gave more time to concentrate.

I, personally, thought that the take-home essay was a great idea. First of all, it gave those students that require a little more time to think their thoughts through the time that they need to right a well-written essay. Secondly, it made the test less stressful and easier to take without getting stressed out. Overall, I thought it was a great and kind decision.

I think the take home essay is fantastic for many reasons. This gave me extra time to work on my short answers and actually think about what to write my essay on. I think the take home essay would have helped my grade a lot more if I actually studied for the test, and I think it would be a magnificent idea if we would be able to write the essay at home for each and every one of our test. I believe that this would improve the test grades for the class and help Mr. Dutrow get his Ryken award that he deserves

I liked the idea of the take home essay because it gave me time to do more research on the subject we were given. I think I did fairly well on it because it was also an essay essay to write a response to.

I, personally, loved the idea of a take home essay probably because I am a slow test taker. I think essays should be written and re-read a few times before they are handed in, especially in an English class, to check for mistakes and get your ideas across. Normally with in-school essays by the time I get there I have about ten minutes left and have to rush through it. Because of this I don’t get much time to think through my ideas or re read it. With the take home essay I sat down and thought of what I actually wanted to say and then put it to paper. A lot of times with in school essays you know the correct answer but do not have enough time to think it through and figure out how to say it.

I liked the fact that I had more time, and resorces to complete the essay. I also did not get the feeling I had to rush trough the essay, which was another bonus.

I liked the idea very much. I didn't have to rush the process of writing the essay, nor did I have any misconceptions about the essay after I had turned it in.

I thought that having a take home essay is a great idea. It gives us more time to write as much information as possible. We have our books available to us so there would be no reason to receive anything less than a low A. We don’t have to worry about taking a test which might take up thirty-five to forty minutes and writing a big essay in the last five minutes. I agree with Celestina about the standards being higher, but we still have our books like I said earlier in this blog. This was the first time I felt confident about my essay because I had time to think about it and wasn’t confused when it came around.

When I found out that we were going to be able to have a take home essay for the test I was really happy because I wouldn't have to rush on the test as much. Also I could spend a good amount of time on it so I would get a good grade and it would help out with the test if I got a bad grade. Also when I slow down taking a test I can focus more so I won’t make any careless mistakes. Plus when I see a big test in front of me I tend to get over whelmed and panic so I rush through it and usually make stupid mistakes on it. When I really knew the answer to the question, so with that little extra time and the test not as big made it easier for me to get a better grade.

I do not think the idea of a take home essay as part of a test is a very good idea. It is very easy to forget to do thee essays because most teachers do not give homework after tests to give their students time to transfer from one chapter to the next. But with the essay you cannot do this. Otherwise I have no problem with it.

I think it is a great idea. It gives people more time to concintrate on what they should write. Also it lets you write more in depth without worrying about how much time you have left. i think getting more of these would be a great idea.

I would rather not have a take home essay because it takes more work over the weekend. Also, I might forget to do it or forget information that the essay involves.

I'm actually doing it right now along with my blogging. But I think it is a good idea of a take home essay.

I liked the idea and thoughtn it would be better. I would have more time to do it and think it over. But some people including myself easily forget things and forgot to do it causing less points.
