I think the reading responses are good but tedious. I think they were given a little bit too much becuase I got to the point where I wasn't learning anything from it and just trying to get it done.

I think that the reading responses are good because not only do they force me to read the chapters but writing a page about what I just read helps me understand the book better. I believe that by doing the chapter responses they have helped me do better on my quizzes and to understand the book to its full potential.

My opinions of the reading response were that they are an easy assignment to get points on your grade because we have so many of them. And the responses offer a chance for us to speak out on how we feel about the chapters, stories, or books that we are reading. I think it is a very effective way of helping to better understand the things we are reading.

I think they are OK. They do get on my nerves sometimes, but in the end it still helps to boost your grade up and for this quarter I could really use this.

I think they are just fine. nothing to hard that no one wants to do them but they arnt to easy that people just forget about them they are just the right length. they also are a thing that can help your grade out if ou are struggling

I think the reading responses are a good means of better understanding the books we read. One page every night is alot, but Mr. Beck's notes are way worse.

I don't think that the responses are necessarily hard, but just annoying. It's really irratating when you almost have a full page typed, but then you don't know what else to type.

I don't have a problem with the responses. They dont take to long to do and they get you alot of points. But if you forget one it snowball effects and it can be hard to catch up. But one down fall is on some chapters its hard to get a full page.

Yes I do think a page response is too much. It would be easier if it was on a couple chapter like we did a couple times. It is alos a little to much for homework tonight.

Some people say that the page response's are to much and to long. What they don't realize is that these responses help us prepare for tests and quizzes. They helped me out because like Kevin said, they forced me to read the chapters. They do get annoying because they are assigned a bit to much but I'm thankful that they are assigned.

I think that depending on the story, sometimes the page responses she be shortened. I remember at times we would have to write a page response on a little short poem which was difficult to come up with.

I like the responses I think they help a lot and I think a page is a good length because it will get you ready for college.

The reading responses were indeed tedious, but they do contribute to our writing skills. Also, even though it may take some time and be boring, it will definitely help us in the long run, especially college.

The responses were awesome. They were only one page, and took like 10 min. They boosted my grade like crazy, and can say overall that the saved my grade.

Reading responses were a good way to get points if you did them on time. They also helped you remember the story they were for based on what you wrote. On the negative side, I feel as though they were given way too often and could be tiresome to write.

The reading response were ok when he wasnt smashing us with them night after night. After a while you just get tired of it and dont feel like doing them anymore. The reading responses are probably a big reason why people are missing work. Also the one page thing old too. It comes to the point where you can only say so much. I'd rather hear a paragraph or two of good than a full page of bs.

I have said it in past blogs that I don't think the responses were effective in my learning experience. I believe they do work for other people, but just not me personally. Instead of making me actually think about what I have read, the responses taught me how to write a full page in under eleven minutes. If the blogs were a bigger deal and maybe looked at in class, I would probably have put more effort into the responses instead of writing them to get them over with.

I think the reading responses are an easy grade. There were a lot of them this year, but reluctantly for a lot of people, Mr. Dutrow accepts late work even at the end of the quarter. A page is only hard to fulfill if the topic was hard to comprehend; as well as if the topic was extremely short.

Reponses got very ridiculous in my opinion. They just kept coming and if you fell behind at all it would really hurt your grade. I'm not a fan of them but it did improve my writing.

Excuse me if I may come off a little bit rude and, no I haven't read any other posts to arrive at this conclusion but, you would have to be out of your mind to say responses are useless. Now while it may be hard to write a page for everything we've read, it is still a good form of memorization and an unsung study tool.

I honestly do not like them. They get real hard to keep up with. Even though if you do them they can be real big grade boosters I think that if we had more big projects alot of kids would do so much better.
