Their Eyes Were Watching God

Do you think that we are doing too many responses with the reading or do you think that the response actually make us think about what we are reading?

As much as I hate doing the responses, they are helping me a lot. I am noticing that I can type them faster and faster every time I sit down to do one. Also, they help to boost my grade a lot overtime, so that is nice as well. So the way I see it, they are a pain, but they are also worth it at the same time.

While at the beginning of the year responses were overwhelming because they were everyday they have recently become easier. The responses have been helping me with putting my work together and truly helping me express what I have read. They are still not fun to do but I have accepted them and now appreciate them.

Honestly I hate doing Responses with a passion but as much as I hate them, they really do help me when we have tests and quizes. I have noticed that in the beginning of the year I was very slow at doing my responses, they would take me hours at a time, but now I get them done in ten minutes.

Honestly, I believe that the responses do help many of us to truly think about what it is that we are reading. Therefore, these responses tend to have a positive effect on our grades on quizzes and even tests. Overall, the responses are a pain and usually annoying, but they are helpful and, therefore, are somewhat worth it.

i think that we should read at least two chapters to write a response because if we get a chapter a night it is harder to get enough information for a full page. They definately help you remember what your reading becasue you are giving your opinion on events that are happening in the book.

I don't like doing these responses, but I believe that they prepare me really well for the quizzes we have on the book and the test that we have.

I think that doing the responses helps us because we have to think about the story which well help us on test day.

I do not think that doing multiple responses for each reading is over the top. I believe that it helps us comprehend even more after reading because you have to take the time and think about that piece of literature.

I think that, although I do think that we are doing to many responses. I also believe that they help me to really think about what is going on in the story. I also think that this is what helped me while we read al other stories we read as well.

I think it just allows you to think outloud and rethink about the things you have read. I think it helps a little bit and allows you to think about what youcan say on the test to keep your english mind fresh.

We didn’t do as many responses as we did for the “Great Gatsby” but it did seem like we did a lot because we did multiple chapters at a time but most of these chapters were a few pages if they were grouped together.

it's kind of a yes and no for me. yes there are too many responses, yet they help bring our grade up. And I really would love that. So i say just cut back on the responses as much.

I don't think anyone likes doing the responses they do make uou think though. For this novel it had been a little better because the responses are for like 2-3 chapters at a time which gives you a lot of information to complete one full page. Responses for shorty stories is not necessary however. They are the hardest to respond a full page on because of their already short length.

I believe that the responses that we do for homework are beneficial in some ways. Probably the most important part of writing these responses is actually to improve our thinking and writing skills. Also, it will help us to review what we had just read so we will do better on our quizzes.

I think sometimes we do get to many responses, but I also think that the responses do help us. It forces us to read and understand the material which will overall help us with a test or quiz.

I do not like doing the responses and i think that they do help people alot but there are better ways to study. You can think about the book during a group talk and learn alot more. Also, most students dont really mean what they say in their responses
