Term Paper

Do you think that we started talking about and working on the term paper later than the rest of the classes had? Do you think that when we started we should have kept working or did this, what I thought was a long break between talking about the paper, help you gater your thoughts or ideas? or did it just let it slip your mind and make you forget about it?

I think I was able to gather a lot of information about my author. I had already started looking through books at the library and found a few really good websites about it.

I think that we started early to work on this paper. This I thought would make it a bit easier to get this done. The break in the middle of the classes made me forget a lot about my topic as well. I thought personally that since we started so early, we should have kept on working on this paper instead of other stories.

I was able to gather up a few thoughts on how I wanted to write my paper, but I do think that we did take too long of a break in between, which made things a little more difficult, but overall, it shouldn't harm the outcome of anyones paper.

Yes I do think we started on the research paper later than other classes. I do not feel that starting it late was really a problem but just put on a time restraint. The thing I wish I could change is that the paper was my lone assignment, instead of also reading Their Eyes Were Watching God. The paper did fall to the back of my mind but I never really disliked the timing.

I think that starting it later didnt have to much of an effect once you get your ideas it all works out.

I think that we started it to late but if we would have did it all bunched up i would have struggled and have got a worse of a grade on it. overall i think that we started to late but there still is time just i dont want to keep putting it off untill its to late.

I believe we should have started our paper earlier because towards the end of the year students tend to lack in motivation to do an assignment to their best ability. I believe our minds work better when we have less time to ponder on a subject.

I think that we should have started to work on the paper more and more as we talked about it. It seemed like we were supposed to talk about it and never did, and then it’s due just a week later. I have gathered some research on my character, but I was kind of disappointed that we didn’t have time to talk about it a little.

I think that we probably should have started earlier than we did, but we are in high school and we need to learn to get things done in short periods of time. Not at the last minute but still in short periods of time nonetheless.

First of all, I just want to say that you seem furious that we "started later than other classes." In my opinion, the majority of our classes isn't going to work on it untiul the last minute anyway. Therefore, starting later than the other classes doesn't have any effect on me whatsoever. Honestly, I haven't worked on my paper yet and don't plan on working on it until the night before.

i thought we started kinda late but also at the right time because if we started to early everyone would have forgotten about it. i think my author is good there is alot information about him and its convenient because he is a big name for stories and poems written. Starting it later definately made me get thoughts and idea's faster and made it overall easier because i felt that i had a reasonable amount of time to get a little bit done at a time.

I was able to get a lot of information on Robert Frost and I think that it was the perfect to have that much time, but i didn't write anything down about him over the break, just got information. It slipped a lot of peoples minds though and majority of the class don't start until the week it is due.

Personally I do think that we started late in the fourht quarter with this term paper. A research paper should not be set in a period of time. I think that you should be able to take time think about what your doing then gather information. So far, i am still a little unsure about my author. I know there will be great information on him, but however, catching up in other classes and squeezing this paper in isn't going so well.

I personally wish we would have worked for a week or so, on the term paper, and got it over with. If we had done this, the only thing on our minds would have been the paper. I, personally, believe I would have written a much better paper if we did it this way. I think that it also makes it difficult having it due so late. The only reason this serves a problem is because it's the end of the year and we have exams to worry about.

Personally I would say that starting it a little later than the other classes wasn't even the issue. I know speaking to a classmate of mine in Religion who has Mr. Dutrow as well, he relyed to me how he felt Mr. Dutrow didn't really help us as much as he said he would. More specifically, he was saying like there were still somethings we should've have gone over first. Now while that maybe true, I feel that since we are now making the transition into becoming Seniors, we need to start to do these things on our own. Yes it did slip my mind, because I remeber at one point in April where I came into class thinking that the whole research paper was due that day. In anycase, finishing up this research paper this weekend for me, is going to be something.
